HISTORIC PRESERVATION
I’m working on an historic building. Do you do this type of work?
We have produced measured drawings for a number of historic projects.
I’m working on a project for HABS HAER. Are you familiar with this?
Yes very. Our method of data collection and documentation complies with
the HABS HAER standard for recordation. We are able to print out our
database and provide an organized HABS HAER report of all the field measurements
taken.
HABS HAER specific projects can require any number of drawings. The drawings
required depend on the historic significance of the building. Please
specify the level of HABS HAER recordation necessary for your project.
I’m making changes to an historic residence and I want to make
sure that we preserve all of the original materials. Can you document the
building’s original materials?
We will not determine whether certain materials are original or not,
but we will document everything we can see. An architect or historic preservation
specialist can use our drawings to determine original vs. new construction.
We can provide you with a Sash and Door Schedule, a Finish Schedule, a Fixture
Schedule, Detailed Interior Elevations w/materials annotated, Detailed Exterior
Elevations w/materials annotated and/or Element Detail drawings of specific
architectural features, shown close up, like a balustrade, or a portico.
